I'm wondering what brush you are using for your lines. It seems like a ton of the art I like possibly uses the same brush.

Thank you :) . Its much easier to do so then to approach the whole painting at once. This way you will focus on values first, get it right then move on to coloring which will be a fun process afterward.

My only guess is that you want your pose to have a strong silhouette.

well i talked to him on how to counter stiffness and boost the interest of the piece. i'd have to type a massive essay to even start
